A Neon Path

Introduction

‘A Neon Path’ is a live wallpaper for Android. It shows paths randomly racing across the screen with reflections in the floor with northern lights in the background and allows the user to customize it to their individual taste. The inspiration for it came from a background image that came with the Motorola Xoom tablet. I wrote the wallpaper to see how it would look as as a animation with the camera panning over the paths. The movie Tron was most likely an inspiration for the original image since it has the very well known flat light cycle trails as a central graphical feature.

Versions

The wallpaper comes in two different versions, one paid and one free. The full version includes several different options for customization of colors and the number of paths as well as the type of sky and floor to use. The free version only includes basic settings for frame rate and visual quality but is otherwise fully functional and free from ads.
